Story
Born on October 15, 1994, in the Walled City of Lahore, Babar’s journey is a classic “rags-to-riches” sports tale. Inspired by his older cousins, Kamran and Umar Akmal, he began his cricket career as a ball boy at Gaddafi Stadium. He worked his way through the U-15 and U-19 ranks, eventually making his international debut in 2015. Despite early skepticism regarding his strike rate and English proficiency, his disciplined “textbook” technique and consistency led him to become the world’s top-ranked ODI batter for several years.
